Contests & Divisions

Our contests include Jack & Jills, Strictlys, Teams, Rising Star & AANCE tours, Spotlights and more. We have a contest for everyone–Newcomer, Novice, Masters, Intermediate, Advanced, All Star, and ProAm.  All competitions are “gender-neutral”.

Our goal is to run on-time competitions – Pre-registration is appreciated (it helps us plan and organize the contests)!

You must register for a weekend pass to compete at Trilogy Swing. Competitors are responsible for reading and abiding by our rules as well as the rules of the WSDC. Please use the links below to access our complete Competition Rules.

For reference and where applicable, Trilogy Swing will follow the essence of the WSDC Rules & Guidelines for all pertinent competitions. For Rising Star and AANCE tours, please refer to the Rules available on their respective websites.

Results will be announced Saturday night (for Friday contests) and immediately following the JT Swing Team Performances on Sunday afternoon (for all Saturday contests and the WSDC J&J Competitions).

Register for the correct level according to your WSDC points then get paired with a random partner in the same level to dance to songs picked by the DJs.
Divisions:  Newcomer/Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, All Star, Masters

All American J&J

Couples will be paired randomly for Prelims, with the top 16 couples advancing to the Finals. Prior to the Finals, partners will be redrawn, and then seeded into a Tournament-Style bracket with the Finals being conducted in a “Head-to-Head” format two couples at a time.

Complete details are available in the Competition Rules link.

Pick your partner and dance to songs picked by the DJs. Be sure to register for the correct division according to the WSDC points for the partner in the highest level. Also, review the Competition Rules for specifics as to the age gap and level requirements for the Generational Division.

We are proud to be a stop on the AANCE tour, which gives novice and intermediate dancers their own spotlight to shine on the competition floor. The winners of the Novice & Intermediate levels have a chance for the title of National Champion at the Meet Me in St. Louis convention in September.
